It's Wednesday so that means it's time for The Diedrich Dare. This week 7 year old Jack gave us a fun sketch to use. What's even more exciting is Club Anya is sponsoring our challenge this week. Jack's Mom, Jessica, will pick a winner. The winner will choose an Anya or Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm's in stock inventory. Thank you Marie for such an awesome prize!! If you want to play along, upload your project to an online gallery and use keyword DDSC12.
I made this card for my husband to make him smile! I haven't talked about this but my husband was in a serious accident on 8/19/09. It's a long story but basically he was working on a pipe and touched the outside of a light fixture with his elbow and got shocked. Turns out someone wired the light fixture incorrectly. My husband received burns in his arm where the electricity entered his body. The power of the electricity threw him from a ladder down 2 flights of stairs. He blew out his ACL and Meniscus along with a lot of other things in his leg. He had 3 months of PT to strengthen the other things. On 11/19/09 he had surgery to reconstruct his ACL and Meniscus. He started running a fever of 102 Tuesday night so we have to bring him to the doctor this morning. It never ends!!
Shortly after the accident, my husband was upset that he had to cut his boating season short 2 months. Such a guy!! :-) I made this card for him to make him smile after his surgery (hopefully not depress him, LOL). I colored it similar to the color of our boat. I hand wrote the boat's name, Calypso, on it. The image is from Hanna Stamps.
